Submit Your Photos
DO SEND ME YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS FOR FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMUNITY AND MYSELF
Please use the form on this page to send me your photographs in jpeg format please. Tell us a little bit about yourself, where you took the photo, the subject and so on. Also let us know the format: what camera, analogue or digital, f-stop and shutter speed etc.
I cannot guarantee that your photo will definitely be published on the site; however, I will do my best to give each submitted photo some honest and useful feedback.
I reserve the right to moderate all comments, and to delete those that I judge are overly negative and lacking any positive suggestions.
RULES FOR GIVING FEEDBACK
My main aim in setting up this site is to encourage people to go out and take their own photographs on an old-school camera and film. As part of that, I welcome your photos for critique by myself, and other members, and for publication on the site.
There are rules, however! If you see a photo submitted to the site that you genuinely think is rubbish, please DON’T just put in the comments – “Rubbish!” or something like “Clearly, you don’t have a clue what makes a good photo”. That would be very discouraging to the budding photographer, and remember, it’s just your opinion.
DO tell them what you think would improve the photo. For example: “In my opinion, this might have worked better if you had gone for a shallower depth of field so that the man’s face stood out more clearly … “ or “In my view, I think this could work better if you crop really close-in on the child’s face …” etc.
I reserve the right to moderate all comments, and to delete those that I judge are overly negative and lacking any positive suggestions. I also reserve the final decision on whether to publish your photo(s) for critiquing.
